KC Primer is the first coat of every KCBerry system — a fast-drying, high-grip primer specified to the substrate that lets microcement bond to tile, plaster, concrete, sealed screed and MDF without demolition. Roller applied, recoat-ready in hours, and the reason a KCBerry finish can be built up straight over an existing bathroom or kitchen floor.

Prime once, then apply microcement over almost anything
KC Primer is the layer that unlocks retrofit microcement. It is specified per substrate — ceramic and porcelain tile, plaster, plasterboard, sealed concrete, cement screed, plywood and MDF — and it is what makes the KCBerry system compatible with the Irish reality of tiled bathrooms and screeded floors that a client does not want to rip out.
Fast on site — recoat in hours, not days
Roller applied to the substrate. Per the KCBerry application guide, primer is left to cure for around 4 hours before the first Microcement Base coat goes on top — a full microcement build (primer + base + finish + sealer) then runs 5–7 days from start to walk-on.
