Microfinishing — walls
with a velvet touch.

Microfinishing is the ultra-fine top coat in KCBerry's six-system range — engineered for bathroom walls, shower surrounds, feature walls, ceilings and low-traffic floors. Two very thin passes over fibre-reinforced Microbase, sealed with a water-repellent 2K polyurethane in matt or satin, deliver a soft-to-the-touch 2–3 mm mineral surface — no tiles, no grout, no cold joints — available in all 73 colours and delivered across Ireland.

§ 01 · Where it's used

Walls, ceilings,
quiet floors.

Microfinishing is specified anywhere the surface should look and feel calm: bathroom walls and shower surrounds, wet-room ceilings, kitchen splashbacks, feature walls, bedroom walls, dressing rooms, hallway ceilings, and low-traffic floors like bedrooms or home offices. It refits existing tiled or plastered walls without demolition and finishes new-build surfaces over Microbase in a continuous mineral surface. Most bathroom projects pair it with Micronoslip on the shower floor, matched in the same colour so the wall-to-floor transition disappears.

§ 02 · How it compares

Microfinishing
vs Microtraffic.

Microtraffic is the everyday floor finish for dry, high-traffic areas — kitchens, hallways, retail, offices. Microfinishing shares the same 73-colour palette but uses an ultra-fine aggregate and softer 2K polyurethane for a velvety, tactile surface engineered for walls, ceilings and low-traffic floors. As a rule: heavy foot traffic takes Microtraffic; walls, ceilings and quiet rooms take Microfinishing. In a bathroom, both may appear together — Microfinishing on the walls, Micronoslip on the shower floor, and Microtraffic on the main bathroom floor — matched in the same colour so the transitions disappear.

§ 03 · Application & durability

Two ultra-fine trowel passes over fibre-reinforced Microbase, 6–12 hours between coats, sealed with a water-repellent 2K polyurethane in matt or satin and ready to use in 5–7 days — backed by a 5-year warranty on materials and application.

§ 04 · Pricing

Honest,
itemised pricing.

Supply-only Microfinishing kits typically work out at €38–€65 per m² in materials, depending on colour and sealer specified. Professional supply-and-install for bathroom walls and feature walls lands between €120 and €200 per m² — the range reflects substrate condition, surface preparation, access and complexity of detailing around showers, niches and reveals.

Every project is quoted individually after a short site conversation, so the number you get is the number you pay. See the full pricing page for tier detail or request a free quote below.
