How to apply microcement.

Four stages, four to seven days from primer to first use. Read the full method below or download our PDF after checkout.

  1. 01

    Prepare the substrate

    Clean and degrease tiles, plaster or concrete. Repair cracks. Sand glossy surfaces lightly. Apply our bonding primer and let cure for 4 hours.

  2. 02

    Apply Microbase (2 coats)

    Trowel the first Microbase coat with fibre mesh. Let dry 12 hours, sand smooth. Apply the second Microbase coat. Sand again.

  3. 03

    Apply Microfinishing or Microtraffic (2 coats)

    Apply your chosen finish coat thinly with a steel trowel. Let dry 6–12 hours between coats. Sand lightly between coats.

  4. 04

    Seal

    Roll on the first coat of 2-component polyurethane sealer. Wait 4 hours. Apply the second sealer coat. Cure 24 hours before light use, 7 days before heavy traffic or water exposure.
