Microbase is the structural underlayer in KCBerry's six-system range — a fibre-reinforced, two-component microcement base coat engineered to bond directly to tile, plaster, concrete, screed and MDF. Thin passes with an embedded fibreglass mesh form a flat, crack-resistant 1–3 mm foundation for every KCBerry finish: Microtraffic and Microfinishing. Micronoslip is applied directly without Microbase; Pure Lime uses PURE Base. It is the reason a microcement refit needs no demolition — and the reason the finish above stays seamless for decades. Microbase is the first coat on every KCBerry project. It levels tile, ceramic, mosaic, natural stone, cement screed, concrete slabs, gypsum plaster, plasterboard and MDF — indoors and out — and forms the mesh-reinforced underlay that a Microtraffic floor or a Microfinishing wall is then applied over. It is why an Irish bathroom or kitchen can be refitted in microcement without demolition, and why the finish above stays crack-free once the substrate moves seasonally.

Microbase sits under Microtraffic on floors and Microfinishing on walls and non-trafficked surfaces. PURE uses its own lime-based PURE Base, Lime Resin and mandatory Lime Sealer. Micronoslip is applied directly without Microbase. The Poolciment pool system has its own build-up over Adhesion Promoter, sealed with Poolsealer.
Three thin trowel coats on walls and floors, maximum 1 mm per coat, with 50 g fibreglass mesh embedded in the fresh base coat and mandatory on floors, sanded 80 grit between coats, ≈2.0 kg/m² in total for the 3 coats — one 20 kg bucket per 10 m² — supplied in a 20 kg bucket, ready for the finish coat.

Microbase is priced per bucket and per square metre of coverage. Supply-only base coat works out at €18–€28 per m² in materials (bucket, primer, mesh). It is almost always supplied as part of a full system quote alongside the chosen finish — Microtraffic, Micronoslip, Microfinishing or Pure Lime.
