Microbase is the structural underlayer in KCBerry's six-system range — a fibre-reinforced microcement base coat and primer engineered to bond directly to tile, plaster, concrete, screed, plywood and MDF. Two thin passes with an embedded fibreglass mesh form a flat, crack-resistant 1–2 mm foundation for every KCBerry finish: Microtraffic, Micronoslip, Poolciment, Microfinishing and Pure Lime. It is the reason a microcement refit needs no demolition — and the reason the finish above stays seamless for decades. Delivered across Ireland.

Microbase is the first coat on every KCBerry project. It levels tile, ceramic, mosaic, natural stone, cement screed, concrete slabs, gypsum plaster, plasterboard, plywood and MDF — indoors and out — and forms the mesh-reinforced underlay that a Microtraffic floor, a Micronoslip shower, a Poolciment pool lining or a Microfinishing wall is then applied over. It is why an Irish bathroom or kitchen can be refitted in microcement without demolition, and why the finish above stays crack-free once the substrate moves seasonally.
Foundation for
all five finishes.
One base, five finishes. The same fibre-reinforced Microbase sits under Microtraffic on kitchen and living-area floors, under Micronoslip in showers, pool decks and terraces, under Poolciment in fully immersed swimming pools and spas, under Microfinishing on walls, ceilings and low-traffic floors, and under Pure Lime for breathable mineral lime interiors. Because the underlay is identical across every system, a project can move from a kitchen floor to a shower tray to a feature wall as one continuous 2–3 mm mineral surface, matched in colour and level.
Two thin trowel passes with an embedded fibreglass mesh, 6–12 hours between coats, ~1.2 kg/m² per pass — a 20 kg bag covers roughly 8–10 m² of finished substrate, ready for the finish coat the next working day.

Microbase is priced per bag and per square metre of coverage. Supply-only base coat works out at €18–€28 per m² in materials (bag, primer, mesh). It is almost always supplied as part of a full system quote alongside the chosen finish — Microtraffic, Micronoslip, Poolciment, Microfinishing or Pure Lime.
