Two-component waterproofing under a microcement shower

A microcement surface sealed with 2K polyurethane is water-resistant. In wet rooms and walk-in showers where standing water is a fact of life, KCBerry specifies a fully waterproof tanking layer beneath the microcement — SubVap, a flexible two-component waterproofing mortar pairing the SubVap 10L acrylic resin (component A) with the SubVap 20Kg cement powder (component B).

Waterproof yet vapour-permeable, SubVap bridges cracks over 1 mm and is applied in two coats to a total of 3–4 mm at 1.7 kg/m² per millimetre. An alkali-resistant mesh can be embedded between coats where extra reinforcement is needed.
