Base PURE is the natural lime structural coat that starts every KCBerry Pure Lime installation — a breathable, mineral base with superior adhesion, applied over a mineral primer and finished with Finishing PURE. Two to three hand-trowelled passes deliver a natural surface that carbonates progressively harder over years.

A natural, breathable lime base coat
Base PURE is the structural layer of KCBerry's Pure Lime system — the breathable, mineral alternative to a cementitious Microcement Base for projects that call for a natural, low-VOC, hand-worked finish. It is applied over a mineral primer, hand-trowelled, and left to carbonate as the finish coat is worked on top.
The Pure Lime workflow
Two to three hand-trowelled passes over a mineral primer, with 24–48 hours between coats, then Finishing PURE on top and a breathable Lime Sealer. The surface carbonates progressively harder over years and lasts decades — the way lime finishes have been built for centuries.
